A&T sponsor Ability Counts Christmas Lunch
Dorset based broker Alan & Thomas Insurance Group has announced they will be sponsoring the AFC Bournemouth Ability Counts Christmas Lunch.
The inaugural event is being organised by a committee of local business directors connected to Ability Counts - a football club for those with any form of learning disability and/or physical disability. The club provides opportunities for children from the age of five and adults to play football under the name of AFC Bournemouth at local, regional and in some cases, national level. Although part of the Community Sports Trust, they are completely self-funded and all funds raised are through donations and sponsorship activities.
Taking place at AFC Bournemouth's Goldsands Stadium, the lunch will be hosted by well-known after dinner speaker Mike Osman and attended by over 230 local business professionals on 6 December. As well as a three course Christmas themed meal, there will be a charity auction, champagne draw and prizes with all proceeds going to Ability Counts.
Alan & Thomas Marketing Manager Hayley Baverstock is delighted to be able to announce news of the sponsorship. "We are really pleased to be able to use our strong ties with AFC Bournemouth to support this Christmas Lunch. The work that Ability Counts does in our area is to be applauded and we're happy to help raise much needed funds to keep their good work going".
One of the lunch organisers, Neil Wells-West of WestronPoint Solutions Limited, is equally thrilled to have Alan & Thomas on board, "This is our first official Christmas lunch and we've been overwhelmed by the response. We're very grateful to have the support of Alan & Thomas as main sponsors and we're looking forward to providing our guests with an entertaining afternoon and one which we hope will be very profitable for the Ability Counts club!"
The Poole and Gillingham based insurance broker is AFC Bournemouth's official insurance partner having formalised their long standing relationship with the club earlier this year. They also have strong ties with a number of Dorset's other sporting and charitable organisations including Poole Speedway, North Dorset Rugby Club and the Wessex Cancer Trust.
