A&T announce Christmas Card Competition Winner
A budding young artist may well have been discovered by Alan & Thomas Insurance Group following a competition for children of their employees to design the official A&T Christmas card for this year!
The idea for the festive competition, proposed by A&T Marketing Manager Hayley Baverstock, was met with a fantastic response and fourteen designs were submitted by children aged between three and nine years.
"The Christmas card issue is always a conundrum for any business so we decided to do something a little bit different this year. The competition ran for a few weeks to give our artists time to perfect their designs and each entrant was awarded with a small gift for their efforts".
The winning design, carefully and independently selected by A&T CEO Julian Boughton, was eventually decided to be a colourful snowman being given his finishing touches, drawn by eight year old Evie Peake, a pupil at Bishop Aldhelms Primary School in Poole and the daughter of A&T Executive Assistant Donna Peake.
"The standard of entries was extremely high and it was a tough decision to pick a winner – we even contemplated using them all! In the end however, it was Evie's attention to detail and the time and effort that she clearly put into her picture that made her our winner".
Not only will Evie's design be made into an e-card by A&T's web agency, Bespoke 4 Business, and be seen by thousands of clients and contacts of the Poole and Gillingham based broker, it will also adorn the walls of the Poole head office of A&T during the month of December, along with all the other entries.
Evie was ecstatic to win and is looking forward to her prize of a family day trip to Paultons Park in the new year.
